Fresh off their performance on "American Idol", Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato have their first interview together as a couple. On Thursday, March 25, the twosome visited Ryan Seacrest's KIIS FM radio show and talked about the turning point in their relationship from friends to boyfriend-and-girlfriend.

Asked about the matter, Joe was the first to respond. "We've been best friends for the longest time, and now we're just kind of taking the next step, and it's been really fun," he said. Demi chimed in, "And we're having a great time." She then added, "I think being best friends for a while, over time feelings grow. I think for me, as much as I wanted to deny it, the feelings were always there."
Being more specific on when their platonic relationship turned to romance, Joe confessed, "I think it kind of shifted over, like, probably a month ago." The middle member of the Jonas Brothers went on to say, "I think we've always kind of figured that one day it would happen, but we didn't feel like it was the right time."
During the interview, the new couple also shared about being nervous before taking the "Idol" stage on Wednesday night, March 24. Joe recalled, "We were looking at each other, and I said, 'Are you nervous?' And she was like, 'Yeah.' And she was like, 'Are you nervous?' And I was like, 'Um, no,' trying to play it cool." Demi was quick to add, "I could totally tell you were nervous."
In a different interview, Demi opened up that Joe tries to read her thoughts. Talking to Radio Disney's Ernie D, the 17-year-old songstress said, "He has this thing where he tries to say everything that's coming out of my mouth. But yeah, he doesn't know what I'm about to say." She also spilled that they both are accident-prone. "We're like the two clumsiest people ever," she admitted.
