The 18-year-old songstress – whose ongoing battle with issues stemming from bipolar disorder was recently made public – took to the stage at last night’s 2011 Do Something Awards to deliver a breath taking performance of her new hit single Skyscraper.
Although the special award ceremony – which recognizes young people under the age of 25 who have done outstanding work in the communities and around the world – doesn’t air until this Thursday, August 18th, Lovato’s special – her first TV performance since exiting rehab – was so good that it earned her a standing ovation, reports on Twitter stated.
A video (posted below) of Lovato’s Skyscraper performance at the Hollywood Palladium has made its way on to YouTube, but let us warn you in advance that the quality isn’t the best. While the audio captured is decent and Demi sounds amazing, true fans are better off waiting for the show to air on VH1 this Thursday to see the starlet’s latest triumph.
