Posted in : Gossips

Demi Lovato discussed her spiritual belief on Twitter, saying she declares a war with God every now and then. The actress who was released from rehab last year began, "Sometimes it seems like God just keeps throwing crap my way and I get SO angry with him."

Demi Lovato: Sometimes I Get So Angry With God

Lovato continued, "But there's never a doubt in my mind He's gonna pull me through it all. I know you're there God. But umm ...Really dude?" Although she is not always in the same page with God, she added, "He never fails to show me He's by my side though. Even in the tough times."

Lovato did not reveal what was troubling her mind but shared, "I'm not very religious but I'm VERY spiritual and I DO believe in God. I'm not perfect or preaching! Just tweeting… :)" A few tweets after, Lovato was back in cheerful mode, tweeting about a collaboration with Timbaland.

Demi Lovato Says Working With Eminem Would Be 'Amazing'

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Demi Lovato Says Working With Eminem Would Be 'AmazingDemi Lovato and Eminem are not two names often tied together. But the pop singer recently shared that she'd like to change that, saying she'd love to hit the studio with the legendary rapper.

"Hopefully, I can work with Eminem," the singer told E! News about her dream collaboration. "He's my favorite rapper, so anything with him would be amazing."

Hip-hop fans might be surprised to hear about Lovato's love for the genre, but Lovatics are more familiar with it. She made headlines last fall with her gut-busting cover of "How to Love" by Lil Wayne. When she spoke to MTV News about the deeply personal track, she fessed up about her love for the rapper and his song.

"I just loved the way that Lil Wayne took a risk doing the song 'How to Love,' and when I really listened to it, it's such a great song," she said. "It has such a deep meaning to it and I wanted to perform that, and I put a little spin on it and tried to make it a little more empowering. And I think it fit with the platform and the message that I have with my fans."

Lovato's one of many artists crossing over between pop and hip-hop. Taylor Swift was at the forefront of the trend in 2011, hitting the stage with the likes of T.I. and Nicki Minaj. And Justin Bieber said he'll likely work with Drake and Kanye West on his 2012 release, Believe. So it seems this trend isn't going away anytime soon.

Demi Lovato talks relationship with Miley Cyrus

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Demi Lovato talks relationship with Miley CyrusAll is not perfect between Disney superstars Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus. Lovato recently opened up about her friendship with Cyrus, claiming that at times the two have a contentious relationship.

Lovato stated, “[Miley] and I are strong headed. When we fight it’s brutal and we’re like, ‘We’re never going to be friends again!' Then two days later, we’re like, ‘I love you and I miss you!’”

However, Lovato argues that Cyrus will always be a fixture in her life because of the experiences they have shared. In November 2010, Lovato entered rehab. She specified, “I’m not gonna lie. I was self-medicating. I was doing things like drinking and using [drugs], like a lot of teens do to numb their pain.”

She added, “[But now] I don’t drink, I don’t do drugs, I don’t throw up after my meals, I don’t starve myself. There’s nothing that I do that I feel ashamed of.”

Recently, Lovato has been critical of Disney and their humor with respect to body image issues. On the show Shake It Up, a character remarked, “I could just eat you up, well, if I ate.”

In response, Lovato tweeted, “What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL. I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress’ from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make [a] joke about that very disease.”

A Disney representative responded to Lovato’s concerns via Twitter, writing, “We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them... It's NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!”

Demi Lovato Rocks Short Black Wig in Twitter Makeover Pic

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Singer and actress Demi Lovato blew up Twitter late at night on December 27, 2011, and in the early hours of December 28, 2011, with a simple photo she took of herself and posted on Twitter. In the photo, her beautiful long, red locks have been replace by short cropped black hair that doesn't even reach her shoulders.

Demi Lovato Rocks Short Black Wig in Twitter Makeover Pic

The caption of the photo from her Twitter account, @ddlovato, read, "Hey guys... Like my new look?" An entire hour went by before the 19-year-old ex-Disney star confessed that she did not cut and color her hair but was sporting a super cute wig. The second tweet read, "It's just a wig that I got today!! Hehe... Don't freak ;)."

In the photo, Demi Lovato wears clothes that Madonna would have worn in the 1980s and 1990s, with the wig looking as if it could have been a black version of the one Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman. The star looks much older in the tiny black lace tank that shows off her stomach and chunky cross necklace.

Her beauty look is kept simple and natural in the Twitter photo, with many fans probably doing a double take to see if it really is a photo of the star. Her lips wear a shade that look like her natural lip color, and her smoky eyes that fans are accustomed to have been replaced with a simple brown eyeshadow and black mascara. Get beautiful long black eyelashes like Demi's with URBAN DECAY Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara, $20, at Sephora. Not only will your eyes look great, but the name of this product is also the name of a Demi Lovato song, Skyscraper.

The final tweet from the star about her fake makeover read, "I miss my black hair :(." Sounds like a real makeover could be in the star's future. Fans will just have to wait and see if the long red locks are here to stay, or if Demi will change up her look again.

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

To the delight of their fans, Disney stars Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez paired up during MTV's "NYE in NYC 2012." Both stars had New Year's Eve-ready wardrobes for their December 31st appearance. Demi not only performed but also co-hosted the Times Square bash with Tyler Posey of Teen Wolf. The Skyscraper singer slipped into a slinky mini dress by Chagoury Couture, as spotted by The Fashion Patrol. The black lace, long-sleeve number had a figure-hugging silhouette and a revealing neckline. Dressing in sexy outfits isn't new for Demi. But it would be lovely to see the 19-year-old singer in something a bit more age-appropriate and more effortless looking.

Selena Gomez joined Demi Lovato at the MTV celebration. For Selena's "NYE in NYC 2012" performance, the Who Says singer did not hold back on the sparkles. Selena wore a Sherri Hill plunging neckline gown with an embellished bodice and a revealing slit. It was a sexy outfit like Demi's, but it certainly did the job as far as fun, eye-catching performance outfits go.

Demi Lovato might have tried her hands at country music. The 19-year-old singer, who is critically acclaimed for her ballad pop "Skyscraper", sparked such rumor after taking to Twitter on December 30 to tease what supposed to be a new project. "Wrote my first country song today. :)," so she wrote.

The former leading star of Disney's "Sonny with a Chance" shared no other details about the song, but she might have revealed where she took inspiration from. Hours leading to the "country song" message, she tweeted Eli Young Band's "Crazy Girl" and Kenny Chesney's "The Good Stuff" on her timeline.

Instead of elaborating her song, Demi informed her followers that she's going to rehearse MTV's New Year's Eve special with co-host partner, "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey. At the gig, she will pull a double duty by performing along with the other guests like Selena Gomez, J. Cole, Jason Derulo and Mac Miller.

Demi Lovato, Fans Disappointed In Disney's Making Fun of Anorexia

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Demi Lovato, Fans Disappointed In Disney's Making Fun of AnorexiaDemi Lovato took to Twitter to address a joke that actors on a Disney show made regarding anorexia—a disease the actress went to rehab for recently. Lovato starred in the "Camp Rock" movies, "Sonny with a Chance," and the 2009 movie "Princess Protection Program"—all Disney produced. According to a tweet from Lovato, actors on Disney's show "Shake It Up" said the following: "I could just eat you up, well if I ate," to which the actor addressed: "What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL."

This all transpired on Dec. 23. Lovato went after her former employer and said: "I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make joke about.. ..that very disease..... #nice.

"Dear Disney Channel, EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT."
That same day Disney responded from their DisneyChannelPR Twitter account and said: "we hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them - It's NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!"

After all of that unraveled, Lovato took the time thank them and the next day cleared a few things up after she also said that actresses are getting "thinner and thinner" and that she misses the days of "That's So Raven" and "Lizzie McGuire"—both shows are from Disney.

"I have nothing against any specific actress/actor or tv show.. Nor do I think there's anything wrong with girls who aren't curvy, I just was stating a fact that there needs to be more variety on television so young girls growing up don't feel pressured to look one specific way. Tall, thin, curvy, short, whatever you are, you are beautiful. :)"

Demi Lovato Says Disney Teens Have Gotten Thinner; You Be The Judge

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

I think it’s pretty awesome that former Disney Channel star Demi Lovato is calling the network out for using eating disorder jokes on its shows. The 19-year-old took to Twitter last week to complain about a joke on the TV show Shake It Up in which a character says, “I could just eat you up—well, if I ate.” She followed with a tweet saying:

Demi Lovato Says Disney Teens Have Gotten Thinner; You Be The Judge

Disney’s PR team responded quickly, promising to pull the Shake It Up episode and an episode of another show, So Random, that contained an eating disorder joke. “We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them … It’s NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!” the Disney media relations twitter account tweeted back to Lovato. Case closed? I guess. But Lovato’s tweet about That’s So Raven and Lizzie McGuire got me wondering: Have Disney’s teen stars gotten thinner over the years?

So I rounded up photos of some of some of Disney’s most famous teen stars—starting with Mouseketeer prototype Annette Funicello and going up through the girls of Shake It Up. It’s kind of hard to tell because teen styles were so different (and less revealing) back in the day, but it doesn’t seem to me like Disney teens of yore were significantly bigger or differently-shaped than today’s teen-girl stars. The network’s pubescent actresses—from Haley Mills to Keri Russell to Miley Cyrus—have always been fairly thin, yet healthy looking. But see for yourself (and let us know your thoughts in the comments!).

Demi Lovato Says Disney Promotes Unhealthy Body Images to Young Girls

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Demi Lovato attacked the Disney Channel on Twitter last week for mocking eating disorders and using increasingly smaller stars in their shows that cater to tweens. The network was quick to offer an apology, but experts say Lovato opened the Pandora’s Box about the dangerous effects television shows can have on the negative body image of young women.

Demi Lovato Says Disney Promotes Unhealthy Body Images to Young Girls

“The  producers and writers should have known that a comment like this is ridiculous to be said on air by a character on any program targeted at teens,” nutritionist Rania Batayneh tells Fox411. Lovato’s beef was with a joke made about eating disorders on the show “Shake it Up.” One of the show’s characters joked: "I could just eat you up, well, if I ate."

"It is not a notable character trait to ‘not eat,'" Batayneh said. "We have seen time and time again Disney actresses who struggle with their weight who are a bit obsessed as adults with their physique or just lose control all together and let themselves go. There needs to be a focus on health and wellness and for teens.”

After watching the offensive episode, the “Skyscraper” singer and actress, who has been very public about her own struggles with eating issues, tweeted: “What are we promoting here? #notfunnyATALL. I find it really funny how a company can lose one of their actress' from the pressures of an EATING DISORDER and yet still make [a] joke about that very disease."

She followed it up with another message. "And is it just me or are the actress' getting THINNER AND THINNER.... I miss the days of RAVEN, and LIZZIE MCGUIRE. EATING DISORDERS ARE NOT SOMETHING TO JOKE ABOUT," she tweeted, referencing the actresses Raven Symone and Hilary Duff.

A rep for Disney told Fox411.com they are aware of Lovato's concerns. “We issued a response via Twitter on Friday evening (pasted below). The “Shake It Up” episode premiered one year ago (December 12, 2010) and has been televised periodically since then. We also pulled an episode of “So Random” from the schedule to evaluate it.”

This is the tweet the rep was referencing: "We hear you & are pulling both episodes as quickly as possible & reevaluating them... It's NEVER our intention to make light of eating disorders!"

Indeed the Disney Channel is not entirely bereft of positive body role models. The character Trish, played by the actress Raini Rodriguez on the show “Austin & Ally” is not a classic size 2. But Trish is an outlier on television, which experts say features mostly very thin young girls.

“This controversy goes beyond Disney. The fact that they apologized to Demi Lovato, for possibly making fun of eating disorders, is proof that the media, parents, needs to be very careful in the messages we give to our girls and boys regarding body image,” explains Dr. Jeffrey Gardere, an assistant professor at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. “The fact is we have become an obsessive and prejudiced society when it comes to body image and being thin for girls. By constantly portraying these so called perfect bodies in the media, it can promote unhealthy eating, diet, and food disorder practices that can cause injury and sometimes death, not to mention the psychological damage that can severely impact self image and self-esteem.”

Networks and shows that cater to children need to be more mindful in both casting and writing to ensure that children of all shapes and sizes are represented and that serious eating issues are not mocked or marginalized, says psychotherapist Dr. Jenn Berman, the creator of the “No More Diets” iPad app.

“Corporations have a huge responsibility when creating programming for children, tweens and teens to be sensitive and help create positive body image instead of helping to create eating disorders,” Berman told Fox411.com. “They need to put girls and boys who have all different types of bodies and sizes and shapes in their shows and be very sensitive when talking about eating disorders to not make jokes about restricting and disorders.”
